It's fairly easy, it seems hard because American English speakers never roll their R's natively. It's just something you're not used to. But for example native Italian, Spanish or Dutch speakers just to name a few, would have very little trouble doing it and could figure it out quickly. Singing opera with your jaw shut is however on an entirely new level.
She could have gone through this competition just as a singer her voice is amazing, but the puppets, the vantriliquism, the comedy, all these elements together is what outs her over the top and she deserved her win.

Maybe the universal rules of nature got us to the point where a person can figure out how to use their talent. Not a God thing but how ever everyone and Darcy evolved and then figured out how to use everything to do something kind of thing. I don't think God decided to make Darcy talented and children die of cancer.
How she produces the fullness of each note w/o opening her mouth is truly phenomenal! The meticulous practice and training that this talent requires is mind boggling. She is truly something special! Standing ovation!!

You can't accuse her with lip syncing.... I can imagine vocal coaches next day, explaining how wide you open your mouth to sing opera :) It was the most astonishing performance ever with a puppet. She is the champ !
Phenomenal talent packaged so nicely, pointing to the repeatedly 'Oh my carrots' tossed in for good measure. I still, after all I've seen, expect an operatic performance like that. Others have breezed though to the next round on less. I expected less, she out performed. Darci performs like one out of a hundred millions.
